URBAN-X is a startup platform for founders reimagining city life. Built by MINI, we partner with startups to build technology solutions that aim to address urban challenges. URBAN-X provides world-class engineering and design resources, a global network of investors, policymakers, corporate strategic and end-customers, and premier educational content through our programs.
URBAN-X runs an accelerator program twice a year as well as the MINI Impact Program once a year.
Through URBAN-X, MINI has built a portfolio of global startups working in areas across transportation and mobility, energy, buildings, circularity and community to tackle some of our most pressing urban challenges to help city dwellers thrive.
The MINI Impact Program is a 4-week program to support urbantech startups from around the world in partnership with the MINI.
8 different countries will be part of it each year and in each country, a startup team is selected to participate for 3 weeks remotely and one week at URBAN-X in New York City. We select founders who are actively working on the challenges that cities are facing. The program was first piloted in 2022 with France, Italy, Singapore, and Indonesia, and is expanding in 2023 with Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Portugal, South Africa, and Spain.
In 2024 we are welcoming teams from Netherlands, Japan, UK, India, Mexico, Italy, and Malaysia.
